Copy events between Vegas projects

Is there a way to copy two events between two seperate Vegas projects without rendering first? I'd like to retain the ability to change the paramaters if needed. Thanks.

Open two instances of Vegas simultaneously. Bring up the separate projects on each. Copy the events in one and paste into the other.
