I am doing research before I buy my lighting kit for digital video production.

I will need to light medium sized and small rooms with one, two and three characters in in.

I found that on ebay there is a guy selling tons of different BRITEK lights and lighting kits. And they are very cheap comparin to LOWELL. They also have build-in cooling fans.

My question is: is cooling fan "noisy" while shooting on video with a sensitive microphone? Maybe that's why all those BRITEK lights are so cheap comparing to LOWELL.

Thanks for your advice,
Voytek

Re: Cooling fans are cool or noisy?.

Lights with cooling fans are typically designed for still photography, not cinematography or videography.

As for Lowel, Lowel gear is expensive because it's overpriced. If you want affordable professional gear, look into B&M. Lowel stuff is very very small, but it's not inexpensive for what it is.
