Cool Lux SL3000 issue (help)

Well, I've been playing around with the Cool Lux and it's looking good so far. My only question is this, it came with a cable i assume plugs into a power source. Being that the plug is 4 prong, what in the world do I plug it into if I don't want to use a DC adapter? Must I have a power belt? There's got to be another method. Anyone care to enlighten a newbie?

Cool Lux sells AC cord and cigar lighter cords. The cigar lighter cord could go into a 12V power supply with an adapter.

The AC cord requires AC bulbs. Using it with DC bulbs will cause the bulbs to blow.

Thanks! I actually came across an AC cord but I'm still trying to figure out what's the use of the cord that came with it. I think I might need a belt to plug it into but I wonder if there are other uses.

Is the cable you're talking about a 4-pin XLR cable? I mean, does it look like it'd plug into the DVX's mic XLR jacks, if it had only three pins?

If so, that's a power cord for connecting to a 12v battery power source, like a battery belt. Battery belts typically come with either a 4-pin XLR connector or a cigarette lighter connector (or both).
