Hi guys!
about one month ago while I was having one of does long walks along the ebay path I found a nice little light stand that attracted my attention. It looked small enough to help laying some lights really near the ground. And I said what the hell, it maybe Chinese junk....but for 10.5$ shipped it was be worth the shot. So I bought it...
some time later (a month) my postman arrives and says I have this for you, and I say what the hell is that ( I had already forgotten that I had purchased the tripod). To my surprise I had in my hand a really small light stand with a standard 3/8 spud for small lightheads (650w fresnel and down). I had so much fun playing with it, hahah is so smal that I can carry it in my pockets, still it can hold a 800w readhead perfectly and even bigger heads with the use of a small sandbag. anyway, I though I would share this with you guys because I feel it can be a nice gift for someone that you know that loves lighting stuff. You can even throw on it a superclamp and use it to hold anything small in you computer room or kitchen, using it as a decorative object. But it can also come in handy for actual production stuff, for example to hide small lights near the ground when there are no turtle bases or spuded apple boxes near...
for what it is worth the stand is made of aluminum and the junctions are plastic, what you would imagine from this kind of Chinese stand.
