After trying out Premiere CS5 it was glitchy on playback. You can hear the audio but video was stuck when you try and scrub. Did the gfx card thing with the nvidia card. But may be just a mental thing but maan the adobe suite just seems so much more i want but the hardware requirement is so demanding it seems. Vegas hasnt let me down yet though.

Be sure to install the Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.2) update. That update fixes a lot of problems, including some performance issues.

Anybody here on a Mac ? I'm using the first Mac Pro is there a video card that I can use with CS5 ?

wow what a difference 5.02 made it's on point. Still have to do a test render tho.

i've also noticed to that in 5.02 that mpe is not enabled for my card as it was in 5.0. It doesnt even give me the option in the general settings anymore but takes me straight to software mode which is playing good for the moment. (havent put effects on anything or edits) I guess they kicked out the mods to the card setup.

render test was good without any effects for a 30 min clip. Woo hoo. I couldnt even get that before, now maybe i can start getting somewhere. Possibly Premiere here i come!
