Converting raw P2 @ 24p to .mov for FCP

I'm trying to import footage shot in 24p on a P2 card into FCP through the log and transfer window. In the conversion process the media ends up at 29.97 instead of 24P. I can't find settings in the log and transer window to change the import settings resulting in FCP adding frames. What can I do? Are there any settings that will allow me to import the p2 data in it's native format of 24p?

if you shot 24p (not 24pA or 24pN) then it will come in at 29.97... you can remove the pulldown with cinema tools.

So I've removed the pulldown and yet when scrubbing frame by frame I can see horizontal lines. What do I have to do to get rid of these?

before you make this more difficult than it's worth... do you have a reason for editing at 23.976?

are you seeing lines on an external broadcast monitor? is your canvas set to 100%? did you set the correct A-frame?

I have the same initial issue and I'm using 23.976 to access over/under cranking feature in film mode of the camera (HVX200AP). FCP converts it to 29.97 and removes the cranking. I just posed a thread specifically to how to maintain cranking into FCP. I know that FCP has some pretty cool speed mapping tools but I like old school sometimes.
Sorry to diverge the thread but it is a related issue.
