Converting .m2t to .avi or ______

I'm wondering what program does this or not necessarily .avi but to a form that Adobe Premiere will recognize

Cineform is a nice option. It will also make your video play back much faster.

Not sure if this is entirely correct. I use Cineform and it captures AND converts on the fly, provided you have a faster type machine. It does convert to an .avi file but it uses a propietary codec (Cineform) so you must have the Cineform plugin to view inside of WMP.

The only downside in my opinion with Cineform while using Premiere is the fact that their Prospect software is so much more expensive than the NEO HD software.
