Converting DVD to festival formats

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in post production. Forgive me if I posted this in the wrong area.

I've been shopping around for festivals to submit my feature film (shot on DVD). Most festivals require the exhibition material to be 16mm, 35mm, betaSP, DigiBeta, Digital File, etc.

I'm not familiar with these formats. Does anyone here have any experience with converting DVD/DV files to these formats? Is there a preference to which ones are best to use, cost, etc?

I wish more festivals were DVD friendly....

There are plenty of post houses online that will do the conversion. Frankly, theyre all of higher quality than your dv25 file, so I guess cost is the limiting factor.

I want to jump in here as I'm in the same boat. I need to produce formats for festivals entries but have no idea where to turn (or even how to do it). Can someone actually point me to a reliable place to do this? Somewhere affordable if available. Thanks guys.
