I recently shot footage with the anamorphic adapter with my DVX100. Is there a way I can make it compatible with a non 16x9 TV? Shrink it to fit 4x3. Also will the detail increase or decrease? Thanks so much for all your help!
Maybe -- I know you won't have compressor... there are other ways.. give me a few minutes.
The nested sequence should have worked though.

Ok -- here's what you need to do in v3.0.4
Nest the anamorphic sequence in a regular 720x480 sequence. Control-click on the clip in the timeline and open in viewer. In the motion tab roll down the distort triangle and scroll down to aspect ratio. Change that to -33. Minus 33.
There's the v3 answer number 1.
I'll keep working to see how best to export with QT.

First, create a new 4.3 sequence and nest the 16.9 one inside. Render and ther eyou go.
Second...
Create a DVD using DVDSP. Tell SP to force letterbox.
Looks great. No detail loss.
Good luck,

I have a similiar issue...I shot a documentary in Squeeze(24p) mode and I will be broadcasting on cable and making a dvd. will I have to make any changes to broadcast on reg 4x3 tv? And also what do I need to do to the DVD if any thing...I'm capturing in FCP4.1 in Anamorphic mode in reg 29.97 timeline.
