Converting 60i to 24p?

Re: Converting 60i to 24p?

Another infamous Ultimate S plug, huh Spot?  ;D

Feeling strange.....must download trial........must try Ultimate S......

Whew, what was that? Spooky....

Re: Converting 60i to 24p?

Sometimes I just can't help myself with those shameless plugs. :)
Ultimate S was borne out of a long-term frustration with several things I wanted to easily be able to do, and nothing else offered me the tools to do it. So, I got together with a long-time friend, John Rofrano, who is also a life-time musician of some serious repute (he's a 22 year employee as a senior programmer for the second largest software company in the world with many software patents under his belt) and we designed Ultimate S. It originally was supposed to be 25 tools, but has grown to 52 tools in the application. The only thing really missing is editing tools for 3 or more cameras, there are 2 additional solutions for multicam out there, and it didn't make sense to reinvent the wheel for a variety fo reasons. But it does have a 2 camera editing tool.
If you haven't checked it out, you should. It comes with a 14 day fully-functioning trial.

Yeah, I downloaded the trial, but can't try it out right now (they'll fire me for playing at work ;)). I'll try it tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Converting 60i to 24p?

So wait, after following those steps of how to convert the 60i footage, I render the clips, put the rendered clips into a 24p timeline, and THEN edit it? Or do I follow those steps, edit, and render like normal. I'm just a little confused about the last line where it says "the converted clips can now be used in a 24p timeline."
