Convert the Quicktime file Split Mono to Stereo

Question for you all. I captured in a lot of footage with dual mono tracks. Is there a way to change the quicktime file on disk to 2 channel stereo instead. (the file has to be panned with channel 1 to the left and 2 to the right. I've tried just exporting from final cut doing the pan in the viewer to correct this but it is a pain. Problem with dual mono is even though it technically should be left and right panned even though it is two discrete channels it pans both center which is dumb in my opinion.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a quick way of doing this or found a way to pan the dual mono tracks left and right and export instead of clicking on every clip and adjusting.

Hey, a big thanks for your help and the screen grab. Actually what I am trying to modify is the actual clips in the browser to Pan Left and Right on their channels. Do you know of a way?

DJ you're right that worked great. There might not be a way to do it in the browser but I took your method and works fast and fine. I just did what you said then after cutting it into the sequence and copying the attributes, I selected all and made the clips independent then dragged all clips in the sequence into the browser and it was done. All clips now in the browser have been panned left and right eventhough they are dual mono. Perfect, thanks for helping.
