what if i shoot in 24p on the hv20 and convert the video to 720p after will that work,or what would be the next best way to make the 24p on the hv20 look good,i can see a little ghosting, big headache lol, thanks
Does anyone in here know if I have a choice b/w 720p60 and 720p30 (and those two only), which one would be better to shoot at if you know you want to later convert to 720p24. I'm guessing acquiring with the 60p gives you more frames to construct a 24p source from, but I'm just going on intuition here. (FWIW, I want to intermix 24p HDV footage from an HV20 with footage from a MP4 pocketcam that can shoot 720p30 or 720p60.
Thank you for your help, but I'm trying to pin someone down on this EXACT question:
If you could ONLY pick between 30p and 60p to shoot in, but you knew it had to be converted to 24p in the end, which one would you choose to shoot in? 30p or 60p?
So, in this hypothetical, 60i is NOT an option, but I do understand why you might go that route if you were converting to 24p when using an interlaced camera. The question has to do with using a tiny MP4 pocket cam to get some footage that will ultimately be edited with some other 24p HV20 HDV footage. The pocket cam only shoots progressive. Any additional thoughts now that I clarify?
