Convergent Design Jacks up the price of Raw rental

[verzap]

So it looks like Convergent is not happy with just 99 bucks a day for Raw recording option. Just went to the sight and found out its 124.00 now!!!!
Really...are they that starved for cash??

Did they do ANYTHING to deserve a 25% INCREASE in he PRICE???

If you don't want it at that price, vote with your wallet.

Their business, their rules.

It was good times when people needed something to record to. But with cameras like the C200 including raw recording, hard times have likely hit Convergent.

I don't work there anymore so cannot speak for them, but it's probably just because it is a pain in the ass to deal with individual 1-day rentals for a measly $99. The increase is to cover administrative overhead costs. Honestly, how cheap are you to complain about $25? Frankly CD would be far happier to just have people buy the RAW Bundle and never have to think about it again. Even if repeated rentals means more money in their pockets it is just not worth the effort. The rental option is there for convenience for people who only need to use it once or pass the cost to a client.
