Anyone out there know if it's possible to put a luminance cap on my project so it doesn't really exceed 100 ire. I've been editing for a while now but never really had to pay attention to this factor until having to edit for television.
Right now i'm just going in clip by clip and using the 3-way color corrector to lower the high levels and viewing it in the scope to make sure there's not many dots above the 100 mark, but would love an easier way.
Also, what's the best way of preventing these luminance peaks in camera with the dvx100a? Many times I leave the iris completely open because the image still looks great, but then my whites are blown out too much for the luminance level when i go to final cut.
Thanks for the help.
