Controling light kit and soft lights

Looking for any suggestions on how to gather a lighting control kit on a very tight budget to work with a couple 500 Led panels and 250 and 600W tungsten open faced lights.

Besides that if anyone has any recommendations on how to build some mobile Chinese lanterns and fixed overhead balloons I will be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance

there isnst a ton of controlling you can do with a 500 led outside of dimming it. flagging will create multishadows and diffusion will drastically cut its already low output.

you can put a $9 home depot dimmer on the 250 as well as flags and diffusion.
same for the 650 but id forgo the dimmer for scrims...
id look at a variety of boom stands, goosenecks and clamps

Ive found one thing recently in my search for a soft key light

Get 2 redheads (your 650s) and put them on a double header http://www.msegrip.com/product/hardware/matthews-headers.html

And fire them through a a Lasto Skylight; http://www.lastolite.com/skylite-kits.php

All pretty affordable..

Im very pleased with this system for various reasons hard to describe;
-the individual items can be carried through a door to the next location
-the fixture can be used bare
-the fixture can be moved back to 'dim' the lights

(in this image im not using the header because it has not turned up yet!)

Thats a good example morgan for a DIY, were you using an actual silk or just a random fabric? You can pull off something identical to that. A les DIY but not so expensive way is to just go to a rental shop and buy some diffusion gel and stick it on a home made frame. Nothing like a good ol 250 infront of a baby
