Continuity Scripts

Hey, guys.

So, I'm in the midst of a deal for a project for an overseas distributor and they are requested a continuity script.

I get the basic premise of it -- write all the important action, music cues, everything the characters say, etc.

But I have a couple of questions:

1. Does it still stay in the same basic format of a script or is there something unique about the format of a continuity script?

2. Do you have to write the timecode for anything? I saw one sample of a continuity script and it had timecode for every scene -- seemed unnecessary and an awful waste of time.

Thanks guys!

Anyone? Anyone at all?

Thanks a bunch! :) I never heard of this until now too, I think it's more of an international thing...? Though it seems like they use it for close captioning as well...
