I'm bored....so I figured I'd see if anyone would like to join in a game of continue the story...

Just add on to the story in your post. It can go anywhere and you can do anything with it you want. If you think its boring....change it! Thats the fun of it. Don't post unless its another addition to the story.

I guess I'll start then:

Once apon a time there was a dog who lived in a seaport town. He belonged to a boy who had a grandfather who knew an old lady who had a cat. The cat knew the dog...and they weren't on friendly terms.
Anyway...one day the boy and his grandfather went fishing in the sound. His grandfathers boat was a grey, barely seaworthy vessel, with a painted sign on it that read........

Jenny. The grandfather Morty and grandson Doo Da went fishing. While they were fishing, the grandfather told his grandson to be careful. The grandson thinking his grandfather was a moron didn't listen to him, and ended up falling over and drowning.

The grandfather had to think how to tell his daughter that her son died. He finally thought of the idea.

He knocked on her door, and when she answered he sang "Guess who drowned in the river today, Doo Da, Doo Da".

(that joke is WAAAYY better if you hear it)

When the daughter heard this awful joke from her grandfather, she slammed the door in his face. Befuddled, the grandfather tried to think of another way to break the news to his daughter. "I know!" he exclaimed," I'll send her a Fish-O-Gram!" and so he went...

waves crashed the sides of the boat rocking it to its side and back. The boy looked ahead and noticed a large vortex forming in the water...

and as the wind picked up, he knew where he'd seen it before... it wasn't deja vu, it was... the perfect storm. The waves rose higher and higher as he screamed out... "I'm too young to die!"

then, all of a sudden, the fishing boat jolted a mighty jolt waking the grandfather from an unexpected nap. His grandson inquired on his condition. The old man looked shaken, but who wouldn't be after a highly detailed dream involving death, deceit, bad jokes, awkward exchanges and imprisonment? The old man replied, "I'm fine boy, let's fish for another hour and then call it a day okay?" "okay" replied his grandson. Soon they were done fishing, and rowed back to shore on the old, quite un-seaworthy, dingy boat. But just as they were rowing to the dock, the sea around them turned to a color not unlike that of the night. It smelled of a putrid stench and left them feeling uneasy and quite unsure whether they would make it back to shore. The dark putrid water seemed to be alive. It churned and bubbled and tossed the boat to and fro as if it were a feline playing with its freshly aquired rodent before the meal. The skies turned a sickly green. By this point the old man, frantic, gave the boy one paddle as he took the other and they paddled not only for their lives but what seemed like their souls. It was the first time the boy had ever feared for his life and it wouldn't be the last. He always thought he was invincible. "grandfather, we're not making headway. Maybe if we swim to shore instead we can make it!?" "NO BOY! Its too dangerou......" but before the old man could speak his warning, the water seemed to wrap around his very being....pulling him into the deep dark abyss. The boy yelled for his grandfather and reached for him but it was too late. Now all the boy could do is sit. The slightly sea worthy vessel bobbed up and down in the churning, hellacious, ooze like substance that once was a sea of shining blue and sparkling crests of gold and white. Yes, all the boy could do now was sit, scared, saddened...helpless; he was sitting for his life, contemplating what to do next as rivulets of thought sometimes trickled through his mind like a babbling brook, and other times like a raging torrent ready for destruction and devastation, with one question always coming to the forefront..."what should I do?"
