Constant Frames?

When I was clearing out video files after finishing a project, I noticed in one of the folders think it might have been Render Files a folder called Constant Frames. What is that all about? What would happen if I trashed them?

I belive it has to do with rendering stills. Won't break anything. Worse case, you'll have to re-render something. Trash the whole folder if you want, FCP will just make a new default one next time it starts up.

Now what about the thumbnail cache files? If I trash that folder will it make a new one later on? I have no idea what that folder is either! LOL!

Yes, all the scratch disk folders will be rebuilt on launch if they're not found by FCP. But, I'd not recommend trashing whole folders. What's in the folders you're talking about is stuff that takes up so little space, I never worry about them.

But if you finish a project, and really want a clean system to start the next project with, you can go in and trash the contents of all those scratch disk folders. Won't hurt. But I'd not go trashing folders willy nilly. I just ignore them.
