Considering After Effects...

Hey,

I've been using final cut pro for a couple years and doing most of my special effects work in Motion (I know, silly me) but it works.

After reading the DV Rebels Guide and listening to a talk by it's author, Stu Maschwitz, I'm pretty convinced After Effects would be a great addition to my workflow.

Can you guys throw in any words about your thoughts on After Effects (especially if you use FCP) and maybe point me towards some top-notch DVD tutorials for it?

Thanks,
Jordan

On a side note– I've used AE for a few years now, and I don't know how I coped without it... but... I took a Motion course last October and learned how to do some great stuff with it... I find myself using both apps depending on the desired effect I'm looking for. granted there is not as much user support, but if you learn it, Motion can do some sweet things that FCP definitely cannot.

have fun learning motion graphics ;)

It can't hurt to add AE to your system, but don't throw away motion, sometimes you'd rather use motion in a particular instance, sometimes AE
