Considering a cross-grade from LEX...

Hi all,

Just wanted to get some input on a decision I'm trying to make. I've been shooting with a LEX for about a year, and while I love the image quality, I find myself more and more often bumping up against the limitations of a vibrating-GG design.

I've been excited to watch the new stuff roll off Cinevate's line, but I face the same limitations there, right? There's only so far you can push a vibrating GG. (that sounds wrong, somehow...)

Anyway, I'm thinking about up/cross-grading to an SGBlade, and was wondering if anyone on the boards has received theirs yet? It looks like a solid design, and I could definitely use the latitude..

There should be a number of production units being received by their anxiously waiting owners maybe this week, and most likely next week during the first wave of shipments...
 
Gotcha. I knew they were shipping now/soon, I just wasn't sure of the timeframe.

Really looking forward to seeing some footage. :)

Each claim around 1/2 stop (SGBLade w/Rotorazor 1), but until they're put side by side this remains to be seen.
