Hi there all,
As far as I know, this is mine first posting outhere.
Currently I own a JVC DV500 camera in combination with the Magiqcam IIA Stabilizer. Because of the fact that the total package weight almost 25 pounds.. and due the fact that I felt in love with the little DVX100.. I try to sell the JVC and buy a used DVX100 or a new DVX100A.

On a auction site in the Netherlands I have found a DVX100 first generation for arround 2900 euro (or 1975 dollar).
The camera is approx 2 years old and has running about 38 hours. It seems not many hours.. so whats the catch ?

Any advice would be welcome

Regards, Erik (from the Netherlands) :)

Just a note: check the conversion data on Euro to US Dollars, it is currently about 1 Euro = 1.3 US Dollar, which would make a 2900 Euro camera around $3770 which is more that a new 100A over here, tho I know you have VAT etc that makes the prices higher.

I own the first edition but I recently tried the A! The huge difference in the viewfinder sharpness makes me suggest to you that you should get the A if it is a matter of few hundred dollars.

Jeez Goerik, I can get you a brand new DVX100A shipped to Netherlands for less than $3500. ;D What is VAT over there? As high as France? Might be worth it to get a brand new camera... I guess not if it's 30%... :(

Hi.
The VAT overhere is 19%.. and I need a PAL version.
A new one is about 3500 euro and I can buy this in Belgium without paying any VAT. This because I have a business VAT number which allow me to buy stuff in Belgium without paying taxes.

After some reviews read overhere.. I decided to buy next week a brand new one. Also the 2 year warranty is important for me.

Thanx for all the replies,

regards, Erik
