We just got a huge panasonic HDTV at work and the web dude wants to do some presentations with is macbook pro on the tv. We already have a dvi to video connector but on the huge tv to image looks like ****. Is there another way to connect the laptop on the tv with better resolution??

Thanks

the HDTV should have either a DVI socket or an HDMI socket...you can find DVI to HDMI cables for pretty cheap online.

Yes i have an HDMI socket on my tv. So i just need a DVI to HDMI cable, thats good. Any DVI to HDMI cable will do the trick?

Im looking on the web for cables and some web sites say HDMI to DVI and others say DVI to HDMI, is there a difference between them or its the same??

I don't know the correct answer, it sounds like it may not be bi-directional, you may have to choose one or the other. If output of lappy (DVI) to HDTV input (HDMI), sounds like you need a DVI to HDMI. imo, best to ask the seller before purchase.

I am sorry, I thought you were referring to a conversion box like this, thus the directional/bi-directional comment.

I don't think the cable is an issue in respect of bi-directional, though not sure if you do or don't need a DVI to HDMI conversion box. Time for someone who knows to answer your question. Good luck.
