connecting boom pole to shock mount

http://www.wind-tech.net/Adapters.php

If your boom pole has a 5/8" end and your shock mount has a 3/8" socket , A low-cost 5/8"-27 Female to 3/8"-16 Male
Thread Adapter (see link) should work. Most boom poles have this included, so try unscrewing the cap on your pole.

If your trying to use a MI type shock mount with a 5/8"-27 socket, 5/8"-27 Male to 3/8"-16 Female Thread Adapter cap would be needed.

Look closely at the bottom of the Videomic. If I recall correctly the hotshoe unscrews and there are two threaded holes there, one of which might fit your boompole without needing any adapter

The description of that boompole says that it has "internal 3/8" threads." This likely means that there is a 5/8" adapter screwed onto the 3/8" screw at the end of the pole (like a regular mic stand in the USA). You should try getting a pair of pliers, and carefully unscrewing the 5/8" adapter. Be gentle, you don't want to damage the threads on the 5/8" adapter as you unscrew it. The 5/8" adapter should come off, and the 3/8" prong will be underneath it, and that will screw right into the bottom of the Rode VideoMic.

prolly too late for this for you but they make a mini boom pole specifically designed for the rode, i have it

kinda short, but does the job for us so far

The Røde Videomic is designed to go on a camera and has an unbalanced output cable.

Putting it on a boom with an extension cable is likely to result in a large amount of RF interference.

You would need to either plug it into a radfiomic. transmitter or use balancing transformers to get over this.

i have recently been using my rode ntg-1 more than my videomic. I need an adapter that can screw into 3/8th on one end and has an empty shoe mount for my shockmount to screw into on the other side. I cant find this simple piece that I feel should be VERY common.
