Just got hired on as the new DP for the web series "The Dark One". It's building a strong audience in my area, and looking to expand nationwide.

Season 1 was shot with inexpensive equipment, but now we're using pro gear starting with season 2 -- which is filming now. Season 3 should begin filming in September.

Here's a link to Season 1 - Episode 1 on Youtube. All of season 1 is available to watch on YouTube.

Should be fun!

Well... will be interesting to see what you can do with pro gear.

I'm no newbie to pro gear. I should point out that I wasn't involved with "The Dark One" during season 1. But it's a great bunch of folks, and I'm really liking the season 2 scripts. So I'm excited to be a part of it now. Onward and upward!

well maybe you can bring some better picture-making to the proceedings, this thing could be better shot, the compositions are a lil weak. ====== COMPOSITION IS HOW YOU MAKE (MOVING) PICTURES (ALSO KNOW AS MOTION PICTURES).....OUT OF LIFE========

shoot, I wouldn't go expecting shakespeare trained thespians at this budget and for what is essentially horror /exploitation material. besides, he can improve the cinematography, he cant do anything about the acting so why even fret about it . I don't know how experienced the OP is (good chance hes more advanced than me) , but in case he wants a tip or two: rule of thirds, and DEPTH DEPTH DEPTH DEPTH DEPTH!!!! do everything you can to make depth---- put the camera high, put it low, AVOID BORING EYE LEVEL AT ALL COSTS.....A HOLYYWOOD MOVIE CAN DO THAT, WE HAVE TO TRY HARDER THEN THEY DO..... shoot over foreground elements, create perspective lines by shooting at an angle to the subject(s), make DEPTH!!!! sorry if this is all basic to you, I figured it couldn't hurt to say all this..... so.... CONGRADULATIONS!!!!
