I'm not a big fan of college ball but I've gotta say, last nights game between
Memphis and Kansas was really unbelievable. Reaffirms the saying, "never give up"...

Congrats to the Jawhawks

What was the Hemingway quote? "Grace under pressure"?

Memphis was confused as to who or when to foul in the final seconds of regulation. A foul would've sent KU to the line and prevented a three point attempt from tying it up and sending the game into OT. It was a great game.

Some finger pointing. ESPN's coaches panel of Bobby Knight, Digger Phelps and Dick Vitale all criticized Memphis coach John Calipari for NOT calling a time out after the free throws to instruct his team to foul Kansas. Calipari is claiming he DID instruct his star freshman Derrick Rose to foul.

The coaches panel was correct... as was Calipari. Problem was, Rose wasn't able to foul when he needed to and seemed confused until it was too late. Everything happens for a reason. Not to take anything away from KU, but that is why Memphis didn't pull it off in regulation.

As a KC native with many friends who are rabid KU alum/fans, it was nice to see them win. I remember watching Danny Manning and the Miracles win in '88. Man, I feel old. Still, an awesome game.

i was rooting for memphis but that game made me glad that that wasn't my favorite team that choked like that, i was almost sick from watching the final 2 minutes as it was. that was so bad spike lee thought they choked. CDR will never forget about that for the rest of his life.
