Confused about sliders

Sliders seem to be broken down into 2 main types - friction (zaza, kessler) or ball bearing based (Cinevate)
Also discovered this local supplier of bearing based sliders

I'm looking for the best(easy to use for smooth manual slides) portable(lightweight) 3 ft solution that can be easilly used in vertical orientations as well.

Can anyone make a recommendation based on experience with more than one type or make?
 
I've looked over all of Zaza's original thread and website, and I'm still wondering what the best slider carriage is for an HVX (with rails, mattebox and wireless receiver.) I don't see photos of the 16-10 with anything larger than a DVX on it.
Also, some of the models on igur's site have a lock off screw to stop the sliding motion. Seems those may be a newer introduction. Is one of those a good fit?
