Conforming in Cinema Tools

Hi,

I am very new in Cinema Tools. I did my first conform today in a 1280x720 at 60fps clip using a Canon 7D, and found out that besides the change of speed (which is what I am looking for) it also changes the size to 640x360.

Really weird stuff, i am getting have the size of the clip.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Camilo

What are the steps you are through to conform in cinema tools? Because simply changing the framerate should not effect anything else.

Open the file in Cinema Tools for Mac. Click in conform and choose the frame rate, ok. That's it. I don't have many options to choose from, only the frame rate. Command I to look at the file info, it shows half the original size.

What am I doing wrong?

Cheers,

Camilo

I think you really need to double check that the file you are opening in Cinema Tools is not 640x360.

You are transcoding to ProRes before doing the Cinema Tools conform, right?

I am transcoding the file to Apple Intermediate Codec, no ProRes for now since I have an old version of FCP. I did check and the file before conforming and it was 1080x720.

Is there any chance that you are looking at a preview frame size(re sized in OSX) and that the native frame size still stands? Best way to confirm this is to check it in the browser of FCP. Or, open in Quicktime 7 and do a 'cmnd i'. There will be normal size and current size.

Thanks for replying. I was checking the file info by "command I", not by using QT or FCP. I did checked and it was fine. Thanks

Camilo
