Plot: A popular, high standard boy (Nathan) meets a girl (Jen), who is on the "geeky" side.
But suddenly, Nathan realizes that he is in love with her. Looks, and popularity, and being cool
don't seem to matter anymore, and Nathan has realized true love.


theres the plot, but i want a big problem, with the girl, any idea? thanks
 
Jen won't date guys who's GPA is below 3.5 ... Nathan's is 3, and it takes all his effort to keep it there. What would he do to raise it...or make her think it's raised?

Just an idea :)
 
:tongue:In "Pretty in Pink," Andrew McCarthy is willing to "lower himself" to date the pretty redhead from the wrong side of the tracks, but Molly Ringwald isn't interested in the rich preppy, preferring her platonic, misfit buddy Jon Cryer ... (shut up; I'm OLD ...) :laugh:
 
I think you should scratch it and come up with something new. This idea has been done dozens of times... Not to sound pessimistic, but try something you don't see everyday, that's what is going to get you noticed. Originality.

the girl is blind.
 
Or better yet:
Nathan realizes that he is in love with her. But not only that. A week after a series of murders take place in the school. Nathan almost a witness to one discovers a clue. A "something" that will forever change his life (lol). Can the killer be his true love?
 
Ooo...what if Jen is actually Nathan's half-sister. When their father was still in college he got his GF pregnant, but didn't know it. Now, all these years later, Jen and Nathan meet up, fall in love, then discover they are actually brother/sister.
 
Do the opposite of every movie, i.e.

Instead of dragging the will he get her or won't he just make them fall in love right at the beginning.

Instead of having the girl's more privileged parents hate the boy they fall in love with him too.

Instead of the boy's friends acting evil to the girl they actually quite like her and she shows them a little of her life and they theirs.

Just turn every cliché on its head. Wing-Bang-Boom, there you go, a movie that would totally catch people off base.

This may or may not be a good idea : )
 
I too though something like that, but went with the splatter theme, more appeal.

the girl is actually a boy. you could call it "she's the man 2". the tagline could be...

"this time she really is a man"
 
Hmm... maybe combine the ideas.

He and his family are poor, she and her family are quite priviliged. She is a new transfer to the school. He doesn't think she'd ever go for a guy like him, but they meet and she immediately falls for him. He goes to meet her family, quite intimidated by their money, but they think he's the greatest thing they ever met.

He thinks things are going well...but they're going too well. Within a short time of her arriving at the school and his impressing her and her family, several unexplained murders began to occur on the school campus.

Nathan happens to be at the school late one evening, working out with the football squad. On his way to his car, he sees something up by the school buildings. Goes to check it out, and it's "Jen" standing over the principal who is laying on the floor bleeding from a stab wound. The knife lays next to him. "Jen" looks up as Nathan ducks out of the room (did she see him or not?)

... what happens next? :)

Jen shares her secret, they both run away. Cops are over them. One will go to jail. Nathan will not let this happen. He will try everything to save her. Even get a job as a strip dancer in a gay club. Ok, I'm tired now.
