Hey guys I have never used lav mics. Was just wondering how they work and how in particular the sound gets recorded an how does it get transferred to a computer?
Regarding how the sound gets recorded and transferred the simple answer is "no different than any other microphone"
The lav can either be wired to the mixer/recorder, or connected wirelessly via a transmitter hidden on the actor's body, and a receiver connected to the mixer/recording device.
Lav choice is determined by the costume, actor's voice, and environment.
