Computor Bozo needs advice

I have a DVX100b, I have shot hours of film toward my full length feature. I expect to shoot hours more. I know very little about the editing process. I am looking to buy a Mac & Final cut pro/express. I have planned on using very little in the way of special effects, some green screening but not much, even the credits will be elementary. My questions are how much computor horsepower do I need??? Imac??? MacPro??? Final Cut Pro??? Express??? Any advice for a computor newbie? I plan on 50-70 hours of raw mini dv footage, editing to 85 minutes total length. I am prepared to fill in details, if need be, but would like some advice before purchasing soon. Thanks in advance!

Get what you can afford. If you can afford MacPro get one. I'd go with FCStudio and not express too. Yes, you can do it on an iMac with external drives. But get FCStudio with Motion for any green screen work.
