Ok so i got this new camcorder fo christmas and it is great! But it wont upload my recorded videos onto my computer!:badputer:

The reason for this is because it says my USB port isnt "High quality" and i also dont have any firewire ports if i were to go that route. So does anyone know if i can get a card or something that i can pop in to "upgrade" my USB ports? Also is there any other routes that you can think of? I was thinking of using a DV cable and findin an adapter so it will work in my USB and seeing if that will work. Please respond because I am stuck here with a camera, and footage that i cant edit or upload. Do you know what it feels like to have a brand new camera and not being able to do anything with it?!?!?!?! I AM GOING INSANE

"USB not high quality", is basically XPs way of saying that the Device is a USB 2.0 but your PC ports are the legacy USB 1.0

You can add USB 2.0 ports or do as JR said get firewire, and if its MiniDV or HDV then Firewire IS the proper way of copying the data over, the USB method does not transfer the acutual MiniDV stream (as far as know)

Ya ok well i will research into this. And yes my computer is pretty out of date but is loaded with RAM and memory and hard drive space that it runs perfectly. =)
