What are the computer specs needed to edit RAW AVCHD. I understand Vegas can do it but the clips become choppy on my Laptop which has 4GB of Ram and a 2.1 Dual Core. I am looking to build an editing PC so I need to know what I need. Thanks.

I have a i7 (950 processor) with 12GB's DDR3 SDRAM running 64-bit Windows 7.
I edit multiple tracks in native AVCHD and multiple tracks of audio in Vegas Pro 9...no problems at all!

What is more important to edit AVCHD, RAM or CPU? Im leaning on a 3GHZ Quad Core CPU and 6-8GB of RAM.
