Computer question...

[sodotoguwangus]

I'm about to purchase a new desktop computer system for editing HD video off the HVX. What type of processor is the current best?

Are the Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology with Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor's the top choice? Or is there something better out there...or soon to come out???

Thanks.

There is definitely something better coming out soon. There always will be!

Core 2 Duo processors are the fastest thing going right now.

If you can, buy a laptop with a PCMCIA/PCCard slot so you can offload P2 cards through it. Otherwise, you will have to connect the camera with a cable and stop shooting in order to offload, or you'll have to buy the Duel Systems ExpressCard to PCMCIA/PCCard adapter when it becomes available.

Core 2 Extreme is the 4 core version.
