Comprimato - 4K/UHD

I recently came across an ad for a software based product called Comprimato

My understanding is the allows your computer to process 4K files into a somewhat lossless compressed JPEG based format using the power of your Nvidia GPU to do the processing.

I haven't used it yet, but you can apparently get a demo.

Thoughts?

I wonder how useful this will be in the long term with VC-5 on the way. Also this seems like a product that software developers built into their product, not something for the end user.

Also all the tests show NVIDIA GPU's but the Mac Pro has AMD GPUs. What will the performance be like on an OpenCL mac based system? Love it it hate it, post production professionals have clung to their Macs, and apple has made the decision to use AMD/OpenCL.
