Compressor won't re-encode CineForm MOV clips

We've got some HUGE CineForm MOV files that we're trying to recompress to a much smaller size using compressor. The clips are hours long, but just to test, we're selecting in-out points to make clips that are about a minute in length.

The clips can be opened and played in Quicktime. We can even export them from quicktime, After Effects, or an Avid timeline. For some reason, they just won't work in compressor. We've tried doing this on two machines, as well...

Computer 1 - 12-core Mac Pro
error: Codec not found

Computer 2 - 8-core Mac Pro
error: "Quicktime error -50"

...In both cases, the batch monitor shows the renders progressing as normal, and even completing. But only upon completion does Batch Monitor report that the compression failed.

Any ideas what's wrong or what we can do differently to make this work!?

Thanks in advance...
