I recently installed DVD Studio Pro 4 alone, meaning I did not install it as part of Final Cut Studio, and just a few weeks ago I also upgraded FCP to 5.1.2 from 4.5 alone.
Since installing DVD SP4, when ever I try to use compressor in FCP 512, I click submit and a Compressor window says "Unable to connect to background process". What does this mean and how do I fix it?
I am trying to export DV/NTSC 4:#3 sequence (everything DV/NTSC 4:3, except a few QT Uncompressed clips, which are 16:9) to DVD Best Quality 90 mins 4:3.
I had this same window pop up/problem when I was trying to export a DVCPROHD 1080p24 sequence's audio to DVD Best Quality 90mins 16:9 to Dolby 2.0.
Is this a problem caused by the DVD SP4 installation, or just a coinicidence?
Thanks guys.
