Compressor stopped working!

So, I have Final Cut Studio on my OS X Tiger iMac and Compressor randomly won't open anymore...at ALL! I think it may be due to some software upgrade I did...but its bizarre and REALLY came at a bad time. Using FCP to compress takes hours and time is money.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and restarted my computer countless times. Compressor has an icon in my Applications folder, but nothing happens when I click it AND it is now greyed out in FCP. What the Hell? Has anyone else run into this? Help!

If someone knows how to undo a software update, that may solve my problem.

It might be quicktime. I had a problem after upgrading the last time and it wouldn't open sometimes and sometimes not all the windows would open correctly.

How long has it been since you rebuilt permissions inside of disk Utility? You should always rebuild permissions after every install of software. It wouldn't open until I rebuilt permissons. I also had another problem with compressor and after reinstalling it wouldn't work right. Not all of my windows would open up. I discovered that I had to go into compressor and under the widows tab and go to layout and pick a size. Then it opened and ran fine after that and would open fine after I reset the size. Its still working fine.

Good luck.
