Compressor settings

I've edited a small feature on the Tsjuki fish market in Japan. I'm happy with the edit but I've just not been able to compress it via H.264 so as to get a decent web up-loadable version.

Does anyone have any Apple Compressor (version 2) settings that I can use? I've used the best setting I can i.e. Lan download etc but have end up with something that makes YouTube look good :(

I'm using an HVX200, and 720 25p

indy,

YouTube is tough on the ol HVX.

To get a better looking image, try decreasing the total running time of your clip. For instance, if you're trying to compress 10 minutes, cut that in half and find the best 5 minutes to upload. And letterboxing helps compression, as I've found that the clean black bars require less "numbers crunching".

I compress a DVCPRO50 version of my HD footage using QuickTime Pro to make a letterboxed 320 x 240, h.264 clip.

See "bikefilms" on YouTube

peace,
andrew
