compressor mpeg2 audio out of sync

I edited a short movie in FCP at 24fps but want to export it using compressor at mpeg2 29.97fps so it can import into Encore DVD. In the compressor settings, I changed the DVD settings to 29.97fps and then compressor output two files, m2v (for video) and ac3 (for audio). But when I put both files into the timeline in Encore, the audio is slightly out of sync. Is this because the audio didn't "sync up" with the video when compressing from 24fps to 29.97fps? Is there an audio setting I missed? Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like my problem is I'm using the Dolby Digital setting for my audio file & a 2nd setting (MPEG2) for my video. When I stick w/ the MPEG2 setting for both video and audio, it works ok. But I have to do 2 separate compressor runs and change the File Format: one for video (mpeg2), the other for audio (aiff).
