I'm confused. Until today I always found and used the ProRes setting located at:
Apple > Other Workflows > Advanced Format Conversions > Apple Codecs > Apple ProRess 422 (with the options of Interlaced or progressive material and a (High Quality) option for each) -- under it is the description "Apple ProRes 422 10-bit video with audio pass-through. Settings based off the source resolution and frame-rate".
Today I realized it is also located here:
Apple > Formats > QuickTime > Apple ProRes 422 (with no other options) -- under it is the description "Apple ProRes 422 video with audio pass-through. Settings based off the source resolution and frame-rate". There is no mention of 10-bit.
I realize the second option may be more common, no idea why I originally found ProRes in Advanced Format Conversions but that's where I always go.
So is the other ProRes 10-bit too!? What's the difference?
