compressor 2 question

I have tried to use compressor as a converter PAL to NTSC. But when I import it then in FCP I see that it is NTSC but with 25 fps, strange isn't it?
Anybody who can help?

Neither FCP nor Compressor is a true standards conversion. You have to change the fps (nicely) and resize slightly. There may be soem plugins for FCP that would help.
 
but the new compressor advertises with their new feature to convert PAL-NTSC and NTSC-PAL, so you would think it should run properly.
 
Sorry, I don't have the new Compressor. If so then you do a search of PAL-NTSC i ntheir help menu and see if they can shed some light on it.
 
format conversion works fine in Compressor 2 and the quality is amazing. Check the settings, make your own setting for NTSC and make sure everything is right. I did it that way and it worked fine .... but expect to wait for your results ...
