Compressor 2 - monster quicktime 6 files

Well, I've been exporting my shorts using Compressor 2, quicktime 7 for web download, and have been amazed at the results. There's one HUGE problem, as much as I'd like everyone (clients, friends) to download and install quicktime 7, it's not going so well.

Why when I export a Quicktime 6 file for Web Download, and set it to a .mov file, are 5 minute shorts coming out to 80 MB?

you need to adjust the compression parameters ( assuming you are using the preset)

right..only video geeks like us will jump on downloading the quicktime player upgrade, what not. the whole windows preview thing is getting old, too.
g-luck.

That's not so much for an H264 encode. You need to reduce the frame size and stick with Sorenson for really small MB files.
