Compressor 2.0 issue

Just tried to use Compressor 2.0, the one that just shipped with the new Final Cut Studio, and when I hit submit I got this message ' Unable to connect to background process'. I saw the workarounds from the older versions, but shouldn't this one be fixed by now? Thanks, Franch.

I had the same thing. Re-installed it and now it works fine ... Compressor likes to be treated a bit special I guess ...

Moebius, thanks for the help. I'm super new to the Mac system, what's the best way to uninstall programs? Will just draggin them to the Trash icon do the trick?

Francheezie, did you try just running the installer again? That might just do the trick.

This has turned into a mild headache... I'm able to use compressor and compress a sequence, but then the next time I go to use it, it gives me the "background process" message again, and I end up going through the steps above. I've re-installed Compressor and Qmaster about 5 times now. Anybody have the same problem? I wonder if there is some sort of cache or something that needs to be cleared.

Just erase your preferences. I usually do a search for Final Cut and erase anything that has preferences. This is also a good solution for other little problems.
