Hi, can somone please tell me how to shrink my 5 gig video file so it can fit on a dvd? Is there a compression method or should I just get larger blank dvd's?Thanks.
 
When a DVD transcodes, its basically compressing the file to fit on the disk. You can have pretty good control over these settings whether you use export to dvd in premiere, or using encore. Just go to transcode settings. Make sure you make your audio dolby digital. The bitate setting will basically control your file size (the higher the bitrate, less compression and bigger file size.
