I was wondering if the majority of you compress your film before previewing at a film festival, or do most of you just keep it uncompressed and play it off of your camera?

Most of the film festival want you to submit a dvd screener for the selection process. For the actual screening, there are a variety of methods and each festival has their own.
If you're serious about getting into festivals, this book is indespensible. It's about $15.
