Compressing more than one file with Compressor?

Hey, I am exporting a couple of short films to create a compilation dvd and I'm wanting to send each film to compressor so that they can all compress at once. Whenever I go back to Final Cut to send another sequence to Compressor, I see the spinning pinwheel and a message saying that the film is processing. I used to be able to go back and add more files before submitting the files to be compressed, does anyone know if there's a setting I need to select so that I can add more files before compression starts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kenneth

As a personal preference, I never compress straight out of FCP. I have found it to be a less than stable method and more importantly, I want the option to continue to work on FCP while compression happens in the background.

As for your question, the only way I have found to compress multiple files AT THE SAME TIME using FCS1, is to use separate apps to do so. Save your sequences as self contained (or reference movies if you will be working on the same system). Open one in quicktime and compress. Drop one in compressor and compress. You could probably even compress one directly out of FCP as well.

I have found this method to be much slower than sending multiple files to compressor and letting compressor batch compress one after another, after another.
