Compressing for SMARTPHONES

Hey gang,

I recently bought a 1gig miniSD card for my smartphone. What I am wondering is will I be able to play a quicktime file via that card by way of saving my project onto the card/card reader or do I have to compress it down using that 3gp format thats in Compressor?

As far as I know smartphones don't support .mov files. Use .mp4 or .3gp instead.
MP4 is better and gives you more freedom for different resolutions and bitrates.
However there's some restrictions with smartphone's player (RealPlayer?) because phone's "tiny" 200...300MHz processor. Playback can be jumpy if resolution is too high.
Personally I use with my phone (Nokia E60) Nero Recode encoded files and (PAL) resolution 352x288 25fps. Plays smoothly.
