Compressing 24pa workflow

I have a question regarding a project that I am doing. I had a 2 camera shoot of a dance recital that lasted about 90 min. Main camera was shot in 24pa, b-cam 60i. I rendered the 24pa first and plan to add the 60i footage to the avi file on a new time line. The main problem is the 24pa file is already 20gb before adding the new footage/fx/titles. I need to get it to DVD. Will rendering the final cut to mpeg 2 cut the file size enough to get it on a dual layer? Or should I plan on multi disks. Any other suggestions welcomed.....Thanks.

90 minutes will fit on a single-layer DVD, but dual-layer will allow for a higher bitrate/quality.

You render using the DVD Architect template(s) under MPEG-2. Be sure to refer to the manual or help for both for proper procedure.
