Hello everyone.
I've been trying to make a cable that will go directly from the 14 Pin Hirose component connector on the HVX to VGA for my scaler box. Does anyone know of a source for 14 pin cable ends that will work with the Hirose connector? Hirose only sells cable assemblies. I could always cut one of those up, but I'd rather not. I have tried the 3M connector that seems nearly identical to the Hirose, but it won't work. I think the pitch of the connectors is slightly different. The cable will physically mate, but I can't get a signal out of it. One of the many annoying things is that the connectors cost >$6 each, so I can only experiment so much. I just want to build one nice-looking, short cable for when I am using the monitor on-board, and another long one when the monitor is on a stand. Having the two component cables joined together with RCA barrel connectors is just so kludge-y looking.
Can anyone comment on that output connector, perhaps with pinouts? I've dogged them all with a multi-meter, but maybe I'm missing something, somehow.
