After hearing all the horror stories from people about cheap crappy drives failing on them, I've decided to spend my next paycheck on some new bulletproof drives. Ive always been a Lacie man and never had any problems but as time goes on I worry I may lose my sensitive data.
Here is my game plan.
For Editing: CalDigit 1TB FireWireVR External hooked via FW800
For Secure Storage: Buffalo DriveStation Duo 1TB 2-Disk via FW400 or USB (Setup as RAID 1)
I'd like to see some people's opinions on CalDigit vs. G-Tech.
Also, any Buffalo owners who'd like to chime in, I'd love to hear your experiences with these drives.
